Communicable Disease Control

Staff at BCPHA are responsible for following and coordinating communicable disease, infection control and disease surveillance in Baca County. BCPHA coordinates with regional and state epidemiology staff regarding communicable disease efforts. BCPHA staff monitors animal encounters and rabies exposure.

If you have come in contact with an unknown or suspicions animal please report the encounter to BCPHA for further follow up regarding rabies exposure and monitoring.
