County Office Re-Opening: Starting May 11, 2020
- Phased approach to re-opening:
- We will have a phased re-opening that allows an opportunity to better manage the office operations and public attendance in the County buildings.
- Starting Monday, May 11th, we will begin taking calls to set up appoints. After 2 weeks, we will re-evaluate office hours immediate future.
- Maintain social distancing:
- Each Department and/or venue will determine the best office layout and operation for their employees in order to maintain social distancing (minimum of 6 feet separation).
- The public will be required to maintain social distancing.
- No group gatherings will be allowed in County buildings.
- Staffing schedule and attendance:
- Each Department will determine the most effective staffing schedule to provide necessary services, yet maintain social distancing to limit exposure, and no more than 50% of staffing in the office at any one time (Governors Relaxed Standards).
- High risk personnel should remain at home and telecommute, if possible.
- Employee and Public Protection:
- Plexiglas screens will be installed at some of the counter space to limit public/employee exposure.
- Cloth masks will be provided to all employees and must be used in County buildings.
- Containers of Clorox Wipes will be provided for each public counter space.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided as necessary.
- Outdoor drop box allowing public to deposit documents/material outside rather than entering building.
- Continue and encourage electronic communication, submittals, interaction with our customers.
- Building Security and Safety:
- Require public to wear a facial mask when in County buildings
- A County employee will take temperature of public entering the building.
- No one allowed in County buildings when experiencing COVID symptoms.
- Monitor number of the public in the buildings. Each venue will be adjusted to the uniqueness of the building. In any event, no more than 10 public at any one time in any building.
- Maintenance staff will be “deep cleaning” and disinfecting all of our facilities prior to May 11th.
